Rededicating My Efforts :)

Spreading the Green

... and ongoing pursuits of a greater purpose

If you've followed me over the last few years, you know that my blogging "purpose" has been experiential and, as such, is constantly evolving. I haven't published much lately (although I am active on Instagram), as my family recently moved to a new town, and I have committed to pursue my greater purpose in life.

As I write this from my hotel room in Pittsburgh, I am excited about all the things that have fallen into place to get me to this day. I am attending the Climate Reality Corps Leadership Training, and I can't wait to share what I am learning with a greater audience.

Last week my son "saved" a butterfly. It was stuck in a pile of sand, likely injured, and he found it, carried it over to me, and was ready to take action to ensure its healthy escape. I recognized that it was hurt, and that his efforts were probably fruitless, but the whole situation made me smile. Because somehow, my husband and I have cultivated a sense of compassion for nature in my kids... and we don't always do it the right way, but at least we've planted the seed.

I'm excited to learn more about climate change, and what we can do to reverse the effects of global warming. I'm striving to pursue a more focused dedication to sustainability and the environment, and I hope you'll follow along on my journey.
