Inexpensive Valentine's Day Ideas

With Valentine's Day on the horizon (and our wallets still reeling from the Christmas season), I thought it would be a good time for another $1 gift post! Based on the popular Secret Santa series posts, over these next few weeks, I'll share some simple, thoughtful and thrifty ideas for Valentine's Day gifts.

I'll be honest, I'm not really that big into Valentine's Day myself, but I do think it's nice to show the special people in your life that you're thinking of them. I like to do something small for my little ones, and since we've spent the last couple months eating holiday snacks and finishing treats from Christmas stockings, I do what I can avoid giving them any more candy.

And really, that's how this series of posts has come to be--some quick and easy (and candy-free) ideas for thoughtful Valentines' Day gifts.

Check out the posts below:

  1. It is that time of the year when love in all its forms and types is celebrated. Yes, it is Valentine’s Week, starting from February 7 to February 14. Especially around this time, happily-in-love couples make the time and efforts to make their loved ones feel special. They mark the day by exchanging gifts and spending quality time with each other. Building up the hype of Valentine’s Day are the seven days that come before — Rose Day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Kiss Day, Hug Day — in that order before the big V-Day comes a-calling.
